First Things First

In one of the North Caucasian Republics, our client was offered to buy a modernized Yak-18T aircraft which was perfectly suited for private flights in Russia. The only document to the aircraft was the decision of the court that recognized the aircraft as the property of the current owner. The research conducted for the client revealed a significant risk of reclaiming the aircraft from him after the purchase. In addition, it turned out that the specifics of the modernization could cause the aircraft to be not allowed to fly. After calculating the costs of repair, re-equipment, maintenance, lease of parking, registration of ownership and obtaining a permit to fly on the aircraft, the client, upon our recommendation, preferred to purchase a new state-of-the-art aircraft of the same model directly from the manufacturer, Smolensk Aviation Plant. For more than 6 years, the client has been enjoying easy takeoffs and soft landings with his new aircraft.
